A senior adviser in palliative and end‑of‑life care at the CIUSSS du Nord‑de‑l’Île‑de‑Montréal, Gwendal trained as a nurse in France, where he specialised in palliative care.

After receiving his Canadian equivalency as a clinical nurse shortly after arriving in Québec in 2014, he continued to deepen his palliative‑care expertise through an oncology certification and training offered, among others, by the Association québécoise de soins palliatifs (of which he is a member) and the Société française d’accompagnement et de soins palliatifs.

Before joining PalliAmi’s Board, he served as interim Unit Manager for the geriatrics and palliative‑care unit at Hôpital Notre‑Dame.

Gwendal therefore knows the Foundation very well and shares its values of compassion, respect and solidarity.
