Holds an undergraduate degree by accumulation from the Université de Montréal in film studies, marketing and advertising, as well as a graduate program in e‑business from UQAM–TÉLUQ, Serge brings over 30 years of experience in marketing and sales management, primarily in the technology sector.
Throughout his career he has helped define and implement go‑to‑market strategies, develop new markets and grow several companies, both in entrepreneurial settings and within established organisations.
Civic‑minded, he has served on the board of Carrefour Jeunesse‑Emploi d’Anjou and been involved with various Québec organisations, applying his expertise to economic and community development.
His interest in social engagement is also personal: his mother, Andrée Dalcourt Gauvin, co‑founded the palliative‑care unit at Hôpital Notre‑Dame and the PalliAmi Foundation, an influence that has shaped his sensitivity to human and social issues.
