Since 1981, the PalliAmi Foundation has accompanied people receiving palliative care, people at the end of life, and their loved ones with compassion. Since 2019, it has also been supporting bereaved people. Our volunteers play an essential role in this deeply human mission. Through their listening, compassion, and comforting presence, they help ease this vulnerable and often unsettling stage of life.

Volunteering with PalliAmi means offering much more than time: it is a meaningful human gesture toward people going through a difficult period in their lives.

Selection Criteria

Accompanying people in palliative care, at the end of life, and people who are grieving requires a strong human presence. Each application is therefore reviewed carefully.

We are looking for people who are:

  • able to listen and show empathy;
  • open, respectful, and non-judgmental;
  • comfortable with the realities of illness, grief, and end of life;
  • able to respect confidentiality;
  • ready to commit seriously and consistently;
  • willing to complete the required training.

Beyond experience, we place great importance on human qualities, a welcoming attitude, and a sincere desire to accompany others with kindness.
